VPC Opens Third Tank Manufacturing Plant in North Carolina

Valencia Pipe Co. will open a 70,000-square-foot rotational molding facility in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, on October 1, creating 25 new jobs. The plant marks VPC's third tank manufacturing location to launch in 18 months.

Valencia Pipe Co., a division of VPC Global, will begin operations at its new Rocky Mount, North Carolina facility on October 1. The 70,000-square-foot plant will produce rotationally molded polyethylene tanks, including septic, water, cistern, and multi-use tanks and parts.

This is the third VPC facility to open in the last 18 months. The company launched tank manufacturing operations in Miami, Oklahoma in April 2024, followed by Wabuska, Nevada in October 2024. VPC has projected an investment between $10 million and $20 million across the three sites.

The expansion addresses growing demand driven by increased US home building outside urban centers. Company officials had previously indicated plans for an East Coast facility to complement western region operations, announcing the Rocky Mount location and details on September 16.

VPC has navigated complex state and local regulatory requirements to bring products to market, ensuring compliance with environmental and public agencies. The company's products are featured on states' approved product lists.

"We've invested in this market, sourcing the latest in manufacturing technology and bringing in industry experts at every stage of our process," said Andrew Dervin, CEO of VPC Global and 40-year veteran of the industry. "We're very excited for this next phase in Rocky Mount."

VPC's product design expertise, customer service commitment, and industry knowledge have driven the manufacturing footprint expansion.

"It's a testament to our team here at VPC and to our trusted partners that we were able to get our operations up and running so quickly," said Christopher Butler, VPC's vice president of manufacturing and distribution.

With $18 million in annual sales, VPC ranks as the 32nd largest rotational molder in North America, according to Plastics News' latest ranking.
