VPC Global Refocuses Strategy Through Strategic Divestment

VPC Global completed a strategic transaction in May 2023, selling its pipe manufacturing facilities in Arizona and Washington to Aliaxis for $250 million. The divestment allowed VPC to refocus operations on distribution excellence and expand into specialized tank manufacturing markets.

The facilities, which primarily served residential plumbing markets, represented VPC's legacy pipe manufacturing operations. The sale enabled the company to redirect resources toward acquiring and developing rotomolded polyethylene tank production capabilities across the United States.

"This transaction aligned with our strategic vision to better serve evolving market demands," said Andrew Dervin, CEO of VPC Global. "By refocusing our operations, we've been able to invest in markets where we can deliver the most value to our customers."

Following the divestment, VPC acquired a tank manufacturing facility in Miami, Oklahoma in September 2023, launching production operations in April 2024. The company subsequently brought facilities online in Wabuska, Nevada and Rocky Mount, North Carolina, establishing coast-to-coast tank manufacturing coverage.

The strategic transformation has positioned VPC Global to serve the entire US market for rotomolded tanks while maintaining its position as a leading TOTO distributor. The company's refocused approach emphasizes distribution partnerships, specialized manufacturing, and customer service excellence.

The partnership with Aliaxis enabled both companies to strengthen their respective market positions - Aliaxis expanding its western US presence in pipe manufacturing, while VPC Global accelerated its tank manufacturing expansion.
